DURATION

Three to four weeks following receiving all of the necessary portfolio.  A professional discussion, an exhibit of pertinent abilities, expertise, and experience, and a third-party verification of the proof will all take place during this time.

WHO ARE ELIGIBLE?

This certificate will give you official level Diploma qualifications in Hospitality Management. People, who are educated, trained and wish to work in a commercial kitchen and to acquire professional knowledge to prepare a variety of food and desserts, plan a menu, prepare food in a safe and hygienic manner are eligible.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

This certification has no specific admission requirements. Candidates for the qualification must, however, be at least eighteen years old, possess at least twelve years of formal education, or the equivalent, and speak English fluently.

PACKAGING RULES

The students enrolled in SIT50416 Diploma of Hospitality Management, units of competency as listed below:

28 units must be completed:

• 13 core units
• 15 elective units, consisting of:

• 1 unit from Group A
• 1 unit from Group B
• 8 units from Group C
• 5 units from Group C, elsewhere in the SIT Training Package, or any other current Training Package or accredited course.

The selection of electives must be guided by the job outcome sought, local industry requirements and the complexity of skills appropriate to the AQF level of this qualification.
