PROCESSING STEPS
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Entry to this qualification is open to individuals who have:
1. achieved a Certificate III in Hairdressing (or equivalent); and
2. Candidates must have a minimum of one year of full-time employment experience as a hairdresser in a salon after obtaining the relevant qualification or its equivalent.
Additionally, applicants should be 18 years or older, possess a minimum of 12 years of education or its equivalent, and can speak effectively in English.
PACKAGING RULES
The students enrolled inSHB30416 Certificate IV in Hairdressing, units of competency as listed below:
11 units must be completed:
- 2 core units
- 9 elective units, consisting of:
4 units from Group A
3 units from Group A or Group B
2 You can also choose extra units (additional units) from Group B, other sections within the SHB Training Package, or any other currently accredited training package or course.
The choice of elective units should be influenced by the desired job outcome, local industry needs, and the level of skills complexity aligned with the AQF qualification.
