ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

This certification has no specific admission requirements. Candidates for the qualification must, however, be at least eighteen years old, possess at least twelve years of formal education, or the equivalent, and speak English fluently.

 

PACKAGING RULES

The students enrolled in SIT40416 Certificate IV in Hospitality, units of competency as listed below:

21 units must be completed:

  • 9 core units
  • 12 elective units, consisting of:
  • 1 unit from Group A
  • 7 units from Group B
  • 4 units from Group B, elsewhere in the SIT Training Package, or any other current Training Package or accredited course.

The desired employment goal, local industry needs, and the complexity of skills required for the AQF level of this qualification must all be taken into consideration while choosing electives.
